What is a GAEB file?

GAEB stands for "Gemeinsamer Ausschuss Elektronik im Bauwesen," a standard format for exchanging construction tender data in Germany. GAEB files (such as D81, P81, X81, etc.) contain bill of quantities and project specifications used by contractors and planners. They are not easily readable in common programs like Excel without conversion. This site converts those GAEB formats into Excel spreadsheets so you can view and edit the data.
